Fun Factor

Sonic the Hedgehog is a very fun game to say the least. Being able to control sonic and the speed he goes at while running through a colorful level is really attention grabbing. Add that to the fact that it is one of the first games of that time where the player can almost freely roam each level while collecting coins and destroying small enemies and you have a really addicting game.

Learning Curve

Sonic the Hedgehog was a really easy game to pick up and play it wasnt a hard game by any means. It has concepts and goals, such as getting to the end of the level while collecting items and killing enemies, that almost everyone has already played with. Also by the time any of the really difficult levels come into play the game already has given the player much of the experience needed to be able to complete them.

Graphics and Audio
The gaming console that this game was released on/sold with was the sega genesis. The genesis was the first console to be 16 bit. This allowed sonic the hedgehog to have some of the best graphics and audio for its time. The levels were very colorful and had much more detail than most other games. And the audio that was used was very different and allowed the game to really make more realistic sounds.

Controls
The controls in sonic the hedgehog were mostly very easy to understand and pick up on. The player moves left or right with the dpad on the left of the controller and if they wanted to jump they could press any of the three buttons on the right. The only control that was semi complicated was if the player wanted to spin attack/roll they would have to move left or right and press down at the same time.

Story
The story of sonic the hedgehog was similar to other games in the way that there is a main hero and a main villain. In this game Dr. Robotnik is trying to take over the world and he can only do that by collecting all of the chaos emeralds which are scattered across different areas of south island. To help him with this he captures the animals from the island and makes them his robot slaves. Sonic has to free all of his animal friends and collect all of the chaos emeralds in order to defeat Dr Robotnic. It is a basic story with its own kind of twist to it.

Characters
There are very few characters in sonic the hedgehog. Sonic, the main character, is a blue hedgehog who happens to have super speed. This is the character that you are paying as throughout the experience. Dr Robotnic is the main villain in this game. He wants to take over the world by turning animals into his robot slaves to help collect all of the chaos emeralds. Any time you destroy a robot in the game it releases one of the animals that were enslaved by it. The characters in this game are interesting but do not have much background story.

Overall Design and Gameplay
Overall the design of the game was very well put together and everything fit into place. The concept of the game fit nicely with the graphics and the audio. The controls of the game were very simple and made sense with the sonic character. Also the story was very nicely put together with the gameplay for example how there were 6 zones and 6 chaos emeralds you had to get. If I were to change one thing about sonic the hedgehog it would be to include more background for the characters especially sonic himself.

Would I recommend?
I would definitely recommend this game to others simply for the fact that it is fun, easy to pick up on and overall looks really nice.

Basics of greyboxing So you want to learn about greyboxing? Greyboxing is a key fundamental in game development and design and is a great place to start if you are new to game development. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive  (CS-GO) CS-GO is a multiplayer first person shooter. the initial release date of the game was August 21st 2012. CS-GO was developed and published by Valve corporation and Hidden Path entertainment. Although this game is available on multiple platforms such as   Microsoft Windows, Linux, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Macintosh operating systems, it is mainly only played on PC.   Fun Factor CS-GO is overall a very fun game. The game brings competitive  multiplayer first person shooters to a whole different level.
